First Friends Ride of the Season

Trail Report from Neil Pepper; 5/4/26

Today Monday we started our Friends ride. We have two groups. Ben’s group also being lead by Tom. Starts at the Valley Groomer Barn on the Rector Road and they ride Tuesdays and Thursdays weather permitting they leave the Groomer Barn at 10 am. The other group leaves the side of the Pine Tree. Tuesday’s Thursday’’s and Saturday’s. The weather is tricky with rain and cold temperatures even in May so things might change so follow the Clubs Facebook page for updates. Now about today’s ride. We left Brantingham for the Hill at 8:30 to meet the other group at the Groomer Barn. I had a very nice surprise with who showed up. Paul from Clinton N.Y, Mike from Sackets Harbor, Ron from Owego NY. Ron’s been riding and a member of the Club for many years. To let you know how much Ron loves riding his SXS Owego is south of Binghamton yes it took him 3 an a half hours to meet us to ride. We were also join by two local gentlemen Ed and Larry. It was a great group. When we met the other group on the Hill they decided to go ahead on a short ride but my group trailed up to ride so I took them for a ride and we put on 100 miles and was back in Brantingham by 3pm. 🕒 If that interests you or you want to learn the trail system you are invited to join in. Just follow the posts on the Club Facebook page. If that is too much riding I will see where the other group is going. Buckle up see ya on the trail.
